Firstly I would like to say that its your blog you make the rules and shouldn't get told how to blog or what to do on your blog! But I will give you some handy tips that you can take or not listen your choice! :)
Always be yourself when blogging! If your not yourself while blogging then how is it your blog? Your readers will know it's not your voice and won't come back. You should always have your own voice and thats what will make you stand out.
Always have fun when blogging, even if I get bad comments I have learned to just ignore them and look how many good ones I have! Always look on the goo sides because all of the good things about blogging has help me to continue blogging.
Your blog design is very important as it's going to be the main thing readers will see before your posts. Keep your design simple, I recommend having 3 main colours and 2 main fonts at the most. You can get a design made for you but it's really easy to do yourself and you don't even need fancy software.

Your posts are the main thing that a good blog! Start thinking up some ideas and write them down when you get the chance. Once you have a few ideas start your post by extending on what you know about this topic, making the post as long or short as you like! You can make it how you want it to be and if someone doesn't like it then who cares as long as you think its good!
Try to keep your blog fairly organised. Using links to pages or labels is a great way to organise posts and have them easy to find. This is optional but I think don't like going to a new blog that I can't navigate easily.
