How to: Add sticky tape onto your photos in photoshop

Hey!
Today I want to show you all how to add sticky tape onto your photos using Photoshop. I am using Adobe Photoshop CS6 in this tutorial but you can do it in any version you use.

Open your image and make any changes you want to add to the picture to make it the way you like.

Go to the top bar and click Edit>Canvas size.

First you will want to change cm to pixels (as shown above), then in the little box with small boxes in it click the bottom middle box (so now the dot will be in that box), Change the Canvas extension colour to white (if not already) and finally add at least 50 to the height.

Now click on the rectangle tool.

And drag to make a box the size you want your sticky tape to be. (you can change the colour before or after this step)

On the right side bar in the layers window (Window>layers), change the opacity down (like 70 or 80) until your happy with what it looks like.

Now rotate it a little (click the move tool and on the top bar tick Show transform controls).

Flatten the image by going Layer>Flatten image.

Then on the side bar hold in the eraser tool then click the magic eraser tool, now click the top white space. (this will make it transparent)

Now Save your image, making sure it is a .png

Have fun adding cute sticky tape to your photos!

All the best,
Ruby xxx
