Since my last no poo post I have changed what I use and I love love love it! My hair is looking great, doesn't get super knotty and is soft, they are my top 3 hair wants. So today I'm going to explain what I use, why it works for me and give you the recipe if you think your hair is a good candidate. If you don't know what the heck I'm talking about and think I use poo in my hair (I don't) then check out my first post about no poo.

- Aloe Vera Gel Conditioner
I have finally found something with the correct moisture for my hair and its Aloe Vera Gel! It doesn't make my hair overly moisturised like the coconut milk and aloe vera one that I mentioned I was using in my first post.
Since aloe vera gel has the correct ph level for hair it can be used on its own or water down, I used both. When I 'wash' my hair I water it down (recipe down below) and when I have my hair up in a nice hairstyle (very, very rare) I like to use it as gel to keep my frizz away (ahh so annoying) because I have 2 sections of fluff near my face, it worked for me when I went to see Matilda and I wore it up for around 9-10 hours.
- Bamboo Brush
For my birthday I got a bamboo brush from Bass brushes and I love it sooo much! It really helps spread the oils in my hair so my ends aren't dry. I also really felt a difference in how soft my hair is when I use it. I just can't believe I hadn't bought one sooner.
Recipe for Aloe Vera Gel Conditioner
Ingredients:
- Aloe Vera Gel or Juice
- Water
- A bottle of some sort; water bottle, spray bottle, squeeze bottle
Method:
1. Add roughly around 3 tablespoons of Aloe Vera Gel to your bottle, more or less depending on your bottle, just guess, I did.
2. Fill your bottle with water and shake to combine
How to use:
On wet or dry hair, poor, squeeze or spray the mixture all over your scalp (I do this in the shower). You don't need to put it on your hair, just your scalp. Massage in with your fingers (not nails). Let it sit for a few minutes while you have a dance party (in the shower or not). Then rinse out with warm water, the conditioner with run down your hair moisturising them too, followed by a cold water rinse.
Easy!
I don't 'wash' my hair very often now, I only use this when my hair smells for some reason like smoke from the fire pit or a pool or like a dog... that happens. In-between conditioning I also like to wash with water only if my hair is losing its curl.
And thats all I do to my hair, I love how simple my routine is, because I don't want to wash my hair more than once a week. I have always hated my hair (for as long as I can remember) but thanks to going no poo' I actually love it!
And if you want to find a method for your hair head over to the No 'Poo Facebook Group to learn more about your hair, don't forget to check out the files.

Stay happy and live life ;)
