How I'm Starting The Year Right

Hey!
Since its still very early in the year I want to share with you ways that I'm going to make my year better starting now! I was never the one to do New Years Resolutions (I was only 14 give me a break) and last year I picked bad ones and didn't even put them somewhere I would look at them. This year is going to be different. I have picked very do-able resolutions that are going to work and I'm excited!

First, my 2016 Resolutions:
1. Create
2. Work
3. Be more mindful
4.Work on my Blythe Store
5. Be on time
6. Document more
7. Take more life photos
8. Make more stop motion and movies
9. Walk, Skip and Yoga more
10. Use my planner

And my word for the year is DO

Another thing that didn't make it to the resolution list is to wake up earlier. It's something that I can never do... The doona is ALWAYS comfier in the morning - fact! Okay maybe its not a fact but it darn feels true. I tried to wake up early today (being 7:40, hey it's a Saturday) and it was cloudy! Every time I try to wake up its cloudy and I want to go back to sleep :(

Okay off that topic now. I feel like my resolutions are very do-able because they aren't specific like 'walk everyday', I would of failed that already we had non-stop rain for a fews day now there is mud and large puddles everywhere (I walked yesterday and had to walk in the bush instead of the path because there was a mini lake... and I was determined to get to that park!).

As you might be able to tell I want to do more this year (already failing....) in most aspects of my life because I think of myself as quite very lazy and I want to change it. Also blogging more is not on the list not because I don't want to do it (because I do want to) or because I have more important things, its because I label it under document more and take more life photos - which I really want to do!

Now onto my planner!
As you should know, I am an avid reader of The Halfway Point and because she is so awesome she made a 2016 planner (she also made a 2015 one). And me liking printables and planners I made it.
It was my first time book binding using this method and I absolutely love how it turned out, I'm definitely going to try it out again.
I had a planner/diary last year but never wrote in it or looked at it because I didn't really want one then. I really want to use this one this year and my main motivation to look at it is because I'm so surprised at how great it turned out and the fact I made it.
Let me know anything you have been doing or set out to do this year to make it great!
Ruby xx
P.S. Do you like my name and header? Ruby Dean Blog sounds so formal

  1. My favourite part of this post is the "I'm 14 give me a break", haha I only started making resolutions when I was 15 so you've done better than me! I think all your resolutions are very doable, general ones are always best! I have some specific ones but they're less resolutions and more just habits I'd like to build over time. Also, thankyou for making my planner and I'm so glad it worked out for you! It definitely makes you more motivated to use it when you spent so much time making it on your own!

    xx
