If you haven't already seen, I have a new comment system! Yay! I now have Disqus, and I thought I would tell you what I think of it :)
I decided to get Disqus because I really didn't like the blogger one, you could never reply and have them see it, so what was the point of replying, right? Then when reading blog posts on bloglovin, I came across The Halfway Point's new post, Erin is currently changing up her blog a bit, and after I read her post (which was really helpful) I wanted to comment on it, then I saw her comment system, Disqus, I have come across this but never really wanted to sign up, so because I really wanted to comment, I signed up, and it was really great, I commented and she replied, AND I got a notification = Yes, thank you I am adding this to my blog.
I then added it to my blog, to be honest I wasn't quite sure about it yet, but I took that risk, and BAM! I loved it!
Blogger doesn't give the commenter a notification when you comment, disqus does. Disqus looks much nicer. You can share and favourite easily though Disqus, while you can not on the blogger comment system. The notification centre is easily reachable when at a comment system (through the speech bubble). Once a comment is posted it does not go to a new link, so when on bloglovin it doesn't load on another page.
I highly recommend Disqus to ALL bloggers out there, it is so easy to use way more helpful then the standard comment system.
I hope this showed you something new to work with/ try out and/or this made you like it way more than blogger comment system.
Also a big thank you to everyone who filled out my survey, and if you missed it, it is still open HERE.
Have a excellent day!
Ruby xx

That's definitely why I got the system too, finally people can be notified when I reply to them! I love when I realise a blog is using Disqus too because it means I will know straight away if they reply to my comment rather than having to remember to keep checking back. It just keeps staying connected all the more easier I think!

The only thing stopping me from trying Disqus is that some people say people have trouble commenting when they don't want to create an account or don't have anything to link to. But these days, I think nearly everybody's got an account of something to link to! :)
ReplyDeleteYeah true. But in Disqus settings you can allow no-users to comment as guests, which solves that problem :) It is really good if you want to have a chat with your readers as well, which I think is amazing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for following me and commenting :)

Oh, I actually didn't know that! I guess whoever was mentioning people without accounts couldn't comment didn't have that setting on. Hmm, I think I might have to switch to Disqus myself!
ReplyDelete(And you're very welcome!)
Hello Ruby,
ReplyDeleteHow are you travelling these days? How are you? Just finally did a photoshoot with my Blythe!
