Now, I know I have been absent from my blog for a while and I know it's bad but I have a great reason (at least for most). I have made a monthly video from clips of my life and I really like how it turned out! I was inspired to do this by watching Erin's monthly video because they are really awesome! Also I will tell you why I wasn't here if you would like to now, I might just surprise you.
So, on the 20th we had lots of rain and wind, like tons of it! It was quite scary but I didn't think to much of it, because Autumn is usually stormy. So the next day it was still windy and rainy which isn't to bad in my books. Then when I woke up mum told me that it had gotten so bad there were cyclone 2 winds, and that the power had been out since 6am... Our yard has horrible drainage so both front and back yards were/had small ponds, so taking Soldier out for a pee was an adventure.
In the video you see what our yard looked like and how the shed roof flew off onto the clothes line. Well, since mum has really nice friends, they came over and took the shed down completely (don't we have another), now we have a fire pit area. My brother started digging out a hole in the dirt where the shed was and I ended up finishing the fire pit area. We had no power so what else to do right? I didn't actually end up showing you the fire pit area but I hopefully will do that in this months.
We didn't do anything else exciting other then go to mums friends house for phone charging and warm showers, which was really nice of them. Unless you call crocheting or playing Uno by candle light is exciting..
So, I hope you liked my video, I look forward to making more, and don't forget to check out Erin's video this month (P.S. it's awesome). Hopefully I will be posting more soon, type to you later :D

P.S. November 2013 & Soldier..
I'm happy to hear everything's okay! That's one way to go about having electricity free days. I love all the crochet projects you showed; what was the one at the end, a blanket? A poncho?
ReplyDeleteYes exactly! Except when you don't have a fridge :/
ReplyDeleteThanks, the one at the end is a blanket I'm making for my bed, I wrote a post about it not long ago (http://www.rubydeanblog.com/2015/04/crocheting-a-blanket.html)
