My Winter Essentials

Now that its officially Winter I have decided to show you some of my essentials to keep me warm and happy in winter. Lately here it hasn't even been that cold which but not matter how warm it is, I still use most of these.

Fluffy/Fuzzy Socks
At our house the wooden flour is the only this keeping us from the ground so it gets a bit cold for my feet, my solution is fuzzy socks. If I don't wear fuzzy socks at night I think my feet would freeze. So if you get cold feet at night I highly suggest you get some fuzzy socks.

Stockings
I am not a jeans persons at all, they are just so uncomfortable for me. So I wear dresses and skirts and obviously I'm not going to leave my legs bare so I wear stockings. They are quite cheap and easy to get a hold of so I definitely recommend getting some if jeans aren't your thing.

Pawpaw Cream
There is no way I can get through winter without some good pawpaw cream. Its great for when your lips are dry or if you have a cold and your nose gets sore from using tissues. All you do is put it on and it will help out significantly. I use (and have always used) Lucas' Pawpaw Ointment it's natural and comes in a big pot that will last forever (or close to forever).

A good book (or 5)
Now I'm not much of a reader but in Winter reading books before bed is great. For starters you can snuggle up in bed and read when it gets cold. Reading is also good for you and it will help you fall asleep faster, even though you don't want to.

Fairy Lights
At night I like to turn on my fairy lights because they make my room feel warmer. I have my felt fairy houses on my front window, Flamingo lights from Adairs on my side window and a Kmart arrow on my shelf. It looks magical at night and is great for relaxing, stretching or doing yoga.

Electric Blanket
I love having an electric blanket! It makes my winters so much better. We don't have a heater at our house and I hate having a cold bed because I can't get to sleep, so what I've always had is an electric blanket. The feeling of getting into a warm bed is scrumptious, I could fall asleep just thinking about it. At the end of last Winter my electric blanket stopped working (insert crying face) and only recently did we get a new one, the one I'm using is the fitted electric blanket from Big W.

I would love to know what your winter essentials are, do they include any of these? Please let me know in the comments :)
