DIY Arm Knit Infinity Scarf

Hey!
Lately I have been wanting a cosy, chunky scarf to keep me warm during winter and I really love infinity scarfs, so if you also have been wanting one, I have exactly want you want. I know totally impossible... right? Wrong! You can make one with only three (technically four) things!

So today I'm going to show you how to arm knit a chunky infinity scarf. If you know how to knit it will make this super duper simple, but if you don't know how to don't worry I will teach you!

Supplies:
Really thick wool (about 50m long)
Scissors
And your arms

Tip: I used the wool called Hetty by Moda Vera from Spotlight, this can only be purchased at Spotlight. But if you can't find it you can use 2 strands of some thinner wool.
First I made a slip knot by draping the wool over 2 fingers with the end on the left side, rotate your fingers 90˚,  and grab the wool and pull through the loop you made. Now place this on your wrist.
When making the slip knot leave the pretty long and the loop large.
To cast on stitches, thread your right hand through the right side of the loop, grab the wool , pull it through the loop and place it onto your left arm. Repeat this until you have 10 loops on your arm.
Onto the stitches, thread your right hand through the right side of the loop, grab the wool, pull it through the loop but this time place it on your right hand and drop the loop you went through. Continue to do this until you finished all the loops.

Repeat this next row but this time it will be backwards/on the other hand.

Continue those steps until you have a around 2 metres or more of wool left.
Now to end it, do two stitches then pull the further loop off your arm. Do another stitch and repeat.
When there is one loop left pull the remaining wool through it.
You can leave it here or you can make it into an infinity scarf. To do this all you need to do is connect both ends by weave to remaining wool/ends through them both and knot once finished. I then ruffly weaved both ends through the top so the knot can't unravel.
Now you have created an awesome infinity to wear for the rest of winter or give to your friend as a present :)

I also have a video of me knitting the red one to show you!

I hope you enjoyed this DIY and if you re-create this I would love to see it!

Have an awesome day,
Ruby xox
