DIY Twisted Macrame Braclet

Hey

I have seen so many macrame tutorials lately and thought I would share one on my blog. Now that I have settled into our new home a bit I have been into crafting a lot and this Braclet is super basic and easy to make, enjoy :)

You will need:
Crochet cotton
Sticky tape
Scissors
First measure about 5 times around your wrist and double it, now cut it off. Next measure double the first piece and cut.
Now fold them in half individually and join the halves together, then knot them carefully trying to keep the two shorter strands in the middle. So you should end up with one long left, two short middle and 1 long right.
To start the macrame, you thread the (long) left cotton under the two (short) middle and over the (long) right one. Creating a sort of 4 like loop.
Now taking the (long) right cotton thread it through the '4 like' loop you just made. Keep continuing these steps until you reach the length of your wrist.
Now you will see when you get a bit of length it will start to twist and this is the effect you want but to make this easier I tapped it flat as I went along.
This is what mine looked like when at the length of my wrist (It's tape flat at the other end). As you can see it doesn't have to look perfect because its going to twist and hind any imperfections.
Once it is at the desired length I knotted it and then braided it down, since there was only 4 strands I used a fishtail braid. Then knotted it and cut off the excess. And you're done!
To tie it you thread the braided part into the loop and knot it.
I hope you found this tutorial helpful and decide to create this yourself :) If so I would love to see them, you can send them via my Instagram, Facebook or Twitter

Have an amazing day,
